Celebrating National Sewing Month

In celebration of National Sewing Month we have added a fine selection of Isacord thread to our online store.  We have also added many new fine fabrics and notions too.

Hello Everyone!  Wow, have I been busy sewing!  I am averaging a quilt top per week this month in a concerted effort to use up every last panel in my stash.  Quite a specific and much needed goal that I have self imposed in order to accomplish some equally specifuc objectives.

First of all, some of my pesonal fabric is reaching vintage status and honestly, I am just getting tired of looking at it, so it has to find a project, soon!  Second, I am in a major skill building phase of my sewing life being the proud owner of so many wonderful machines to work with.  From the longarm machines to the embroidery machines, I have learned so much and I get really excitied about all of the project ideas that flood into my head every time that I acquire a new skill set.  It really is all in preparation for helping our customers to create their own projects.

I love to learn and also to help others learn right along with me no matter what the genre of creative endeavor.  Sewing, photography, woodworking, scrapbooking, gardening and preserving.  I am always happy to share my skills with others!  That was the purpose of creating Nestled Feathers Creative Club too.  An online version of a get together with friends where we enjoy sharing ideas, tips and also ways to save money.  Saving money is also one of my favorite things to do in life as it is for many others like yourself I'm sure.
