Nestled Feathers News - July 2026

Summer time is go time here at the Nestled Feathers homestead and 2026 is no exception!  We have replaced the flooring and re-organized the layout of our personal sewing space. We also re-organized the sewing studio to accomodate some new cabinets for storing bolts of fabric and built a huge cutting/pressing island and added a smaller cutting/pressing area too.  All things Cricut have been added to the sewing studio as well in preparation for some really fun upcoming scrapbooking events that we have planned.

Downstairs, we have a growing work area for painting, resin pouring and stained glass work that is coming along very well.  Still not a lot of elbow room down there as new merchandise is photographed and sifted into the current inventory.  We have a few classes and one sew-along scheduled for August and we are planning a huge Labor Day Sale event.

The garden is in full on jungle mode and we are trying to make room in the pantry for the upcoming harvest.  In fact, Mr. B snapped a couple of photos just this morning of one of the largest sweet peppers either of us have ever seen!  Yum, can't wait to stuff that for dinner!  We have dozens of house plants for sale and a variety of helpful items for gardening available in our online store.  My personal favorites are the cross back aprons from Cate Paper Co. and the Twine Dispenser from the Seattle Seed Co.  Both of these items make my time in the garden so much more enjoyable!

Well, that about wraps it up for what's new here at Nestled Feathers this month.  The summer is just flying by so fast!  We are both so grateful for all of your continued support of our small business, it really does mean the world to us to be helpful to you however we can.  We hope that this has found you all in good health, strong spirit and in joyful pursuit of meaningful moments with those you love during this beautiful season.
