Nestled Feathers News March 2026

Hello Everyone!
Full Disclosure: The image is AI but we do enjoy dreaming! Now, onto business... It is nearly the end of Q1 2026 and we have been very busy in spite of the economic crunch that we are all experiencing. Our Creative Services Dept. is back in full swing!
We have added a second longarm machine to our quilting studio! Stop by the studio and meet 'Lizzie' a well loved Ram's Head TinLizzie on a 10.ft frame. She has stitch regulation and rear handle bars with a laser stylus and we have been getting her ready for business. She will be used for longarm quilting student use and she is also available for rental sessions and will provide additional support for our Quilting Services customers. She really stitches beautifully!
We began offering Edge to Edge and Custom Quilting Services towards the end of last year once we became comfortable with the Quilter's Creative Touch 6 (QCT6) automation which we installed on our Grace Q'nique 19 X Elite machine. That one is supported by the Grace Frame that came with our Juki Miyabi 350 QVP longarm machine. The Juki 350 remains on the floor, waiting for another frame or a possible trade towards even more machines. Whew! I can barely keep up these days!
Yes, busy does not begin to describe the past couple of years developing our quilting studio. We have added a few more domestic machines as well. One, a Vintage Singer in a lovely MCM Cabinet and also a new Singer Brilliance. The vintage Singer has been graced with the name of 'Shirley' after my mother, as she would have loved the cabinet style. The new Singer has yet to be named by it's operator, my other half and piecing partner, Cliff.
We have added some new products and services that are exclusive to the brick and mortar store. We now offer photo prints, lamination services, heat press and dye sublimation products as well as a full schedule of make and take crafting classes. Classes will cover crafts such as Scrapbooking, Photography, Polymer Clay, Stained & Fused Glass, Sewing & Quilting, Painting, Resin Art, Woodworking, Gardening and even Hydroponics.
Our space is still small but we look forward to growing more perhaps, even into a larger building! Until then, we are reviewing a number of locations to support larger class sizes. For now, we have designated a portion of the store on the first floor to provide these services and work space for 3 to 5 people. It's cozy but everything needed is within reach once you grab a comfy seat.
Well, I am almost certain to have missed some details since our last update but that will give us something to talk about when we do get to meet up for a visit or a class. Until then, we wish all of you all the best and please know that we are here to help you with your creative projects, big or small. Take care and create something that makes you smile.
As always, Thank you all so much for your time and continued support!
